my 1997 Plymouth Breeze won't start. Scanner says that there is no cam signal to the PCM. I have already replaced the cam positioning sensor which did not Help. This car has a 2.0 , 16 valve motor.

Double check the connection on the new cam pos. sensor if it's not getting as reading either a bad connection or sensor improperly installed.

You did replace the cam sensor, not crank sensor, right? The cam sensor on a 2.0 is on the back of the engine, on rear of head and must not be touching cam end. Or too far away. The clearance must be between 0.005 and 0.003 / http://www.napaechlin.com/Miscellaneous-Cam+Sensor+Problems/Content.aspx

Is the timing belt broke?

Yes , I did replace the cam sensor..this vehicle does turn over properly, sounds normal but don't have spark at spark plugs. When I realized that the plugs weren't sparking , I put my scanner on it. It pulled up a code telling me no cam signal to pcm. wiring socket that plugs into cam sensor was very oily. I sprayed carburetor cleaner in the wiring socket and blew it out with an air blower. Then I replaced the cam sensor and tried to start..still won't start !!! At that time I cleared the code in my scanner and ran the test again. It again had the code telling me no cam signal to pcm.

I didn't see any way of adjusting the cam sensor Clearance, and didn't even think of that. When I replace the sensor I did not look at that. How do I set for proper Clearance ? that sounds like it might be worth a try..

I have not check timing but the vehicle seems to crank over absolutely normal. It is not cranking extremely fast like it doesn't have compression, its not back firing or anything such as that.
