I had this happen to me in my shop many years ago. Long story is we finally found that the torque converter was unbalanced internally, everything was fine until it went into lockup, you could feel the vibration in the floor, replaced the torque converter and no more problem. Later found out that the transmission was a wrecking yard unit.
