radio wires for 1996 explorer xlt

i have replaced my factory radio which quit
working with a sony dax-a415bt. the wiring
diagram which matches the vehicle. but i have
the xlt of this and it has the 6 cd changer. i’m
trying to figure out what protocal a, protocal b,
and audio on wires mean from factory wiring
to get my radio to have sound.
