I have a 1990 300ZX TT with white smoke coming out the exhaust.....

Asked by Landon Apr 17, 2012 at 03:03 PM about the 1990 Nissan 300ZX 2 Dr Turbo Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was riding down the highway and a white cloud of smoke shot out the left exhaust pipe. I pulled over and if i continue to pull or just rev it up, it barely smokes in the bay and billows white smoke out the left exhaust. I pulled the spark plugs and there is oil in the two cylinders closes to the driver. One of the spark plugs had oil on them. Which makes me believe I'm burning Oil or Coolant through my exhaust, due to the smoke, but it does smell distinctly like oil. The car idles fine and sounds fine. Just very hesitant. Does anyone know what it could be? I was thinking Blown driver's side turbo, bad valve stem seal, valve guide, or bad piston rings.
