57 chevy bel air valve stem

i've never been a car guy buy my dad is and for irrelevant reasons he bouggt
me a 1957 chevy bel-air.  i cannot figure out how to check or fill the tires as the
valve stem is tucked behind the rim at an awkward angle.  Any advice?

You can get air chucks for such a situation. Look on Amazon or go to your local car parts store.
