Anyone having problems with Sirius XM Radio on the 2020 Forester Premium?

Asked by Rusyn49 Feb 18, 2020 at 05:23 PM about the 2020 Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased a new 2020 Subaru Forester Premium and the Sirius XM radio
does not work.  Spoke with Sirius tech support and Refreshed several times.
No luck.  They told me to take it to the dealership for repair.  Called the
dealership and it sounded like they were not familiar with the problem.  Could
it be the antenna connection or is it a software problem?  Anyone else have
a problem with their Sirius XM on the new 2020 vehicles?

I have a 15 Subaru. Sirius worked GREAT until Feb 2020 when I called to get a better monthly rate. They changed something and it's never been able to hold a signal since. Once I turn the key off, I have to refresh. Spent $100 to dealership to fix it & they only messed up the unit programming more. Each blames the other. With no answer to fix the problem.

Purchased a 2019 Forester and have had more problems with this car than any others we have had over the course of 50 years of car ownership. Went with the Forester because our 2012 Outback has performed very well. For the second time within a year we have completely lost Sirius XM and cannot refresh. The dealer updated the first time and all worked well until we had three weeks of storms here in CA, and now dead again. Settings tells me there is no subscription, yet Sirius help contact verified that it is current. Could not refresh after several attempts. Very frustrating!
