Why allow posted price?

Why do you allow a dealer to post a price online if it is not the Price being
offered.  I drove two hours up to Ct. yesterday to purchase a Kona Electric. I
spoke with the dealership on the phone to confirm price and availability of
the car for PURCHASE before making the trip. I made an appointment and
test drove the car. When it came time to do the paperwork I was told the
price as a LEASE ONLY price and could not purchase the car for that price.
This should not be allowed.

You must be shopping for a car by monthly payment. Not a great way to shop. Dealers are responsible for what they post, not CarGurus.
