I have a 2007 Toyota Camry Hynrid. My boyfriend
and I were driving and all of a sudden my car
would not accelerate no matter how hard he
pushed the gas pedal. We pulled over and tried to
turn it off and back on but it wouldn’t turn on. We
tried again still nothing. After waiting and repeating
a couple of times it started again. We continued
our way home and about 5 minutes later the same
thing happened. But this time the car turned off
while we were still driving! We coasted to a parking
spot and tried to start the car but it would not
start. We had to leave it there. Getting it towed
tomorrow but does anyone have any clue what it
could be!?? I don’t know anyone that has any
knowledge on electrically assisted cars.

Did you notice any warning lights on or flashing while driving? How many miles on this vehicle?

@last_chance_garage well about a month ago my brakes were done and they had to bleed them and little did we know, if you bleed Camry brakes without a special box thing then all the dash lights pop up. So yeah they were all on actually. So I’m not quite sure if there was any specific one that was on or popped up. I have roughly 198k miles.

@kennlovesnsomi that’s what my boyfriend thought after some research as well but for some reason his dad doesn’t think that’s what it is.

My 2018 Camry hybrid wouldn’t take fuel as if there was a bubble or flap preventing fueling. Put a hose down and later it took 9 gallons. What could be happening?
