Concentrate on the P0455 Trouble Code. This usually caused by either of the following: Evap System Hose– The hose that carries the fuel vapor from the fuel tank to the intake manifold can begin to leak. This will cause the P0455 code. ... Vapor Canister Purge Valve– One of the most common causes of the P0455 code is the vapor canister purge valve.

Do you think that would help I just purchased a fuel pressure tester see if that fuel pump is taking a crap

I don't think it's fuel pump related. P0455 code is more fuel mixture related not starving for fuel. Check evap system. If you noticed this issue right after you filled gas tank, you might've overfilled it and that will trigger the P0455 code. it's going to be the evap canister.

U think that would cose them problems with it starting I just did a psi on the fuel it’s running about 50 psi , compression test on al 4 cylinders r running around 65 psi , except cylinder 1 is wetter with fuel and oil I believe !

34,745

Fuel pressure is good. If in fact the compression is inly 65 psi, there's ur problem, either the timing chain or belt has jumped off a tooth or compression is leaking out by headgasket. Need to check. Common priblem with these Nissans is the head or head gasket

34,745

For some reason, I don't see ur last answer but I read it in the email. Your car has a timing chain, not a belt. Bus I suspect the issue is the head or head gasket if u checked compression correctly and only reads 65psi

10

This car has 310,000 miles on it if it timing it mite be time to retire her , I couldn’t find what the compression should be

10

I found a videos he was running almost 160 , what is the proper way of testing the compression? And thank you in advance for all your help much approach

34,745

If u want yo double check. Drop a few droos of motor oil on each cylinder and see if compression goes up, if it does, it confirms engine wear. U need 100 psi minimum on each cylinder without the oil drops. 65 psi in not enough. An engine needs fuel, compression and spark at the right time to cause an explosion. In this case u need minimum 100 psi to cause a strong explosion

I was listening to a buddy of mine I believe I was doing the compression test wrong , I’m going to redo the test after I get home and I’m geting oil in cylinder 1 for now I got a anti foil that u put on the end of the plug , not really trying to put a lot on money into this car plan on geting a newer one in a few months

Just checked The compression they r all around 170 so I’d say that’s good I’m still stuck with not knowing

10

When I was done got everything togeather started it after the compression test , I started it and got a nasty load tick! My buddy seems to think it is in of the injector ! Any ideas ?

34,745

I would go back to my first response of the Evap system first causing the P0455 code, this causes rich mixture then check ur injectors. This this issue happen after refueling?

10

My buddy One of those 3000 computers it’s leaking antifreeze into the heads in the time Belt is loss

10

Do you think this is A good idea to use at this point ? All I need is to get A few months out of this car.

Ok what's with the stop leak bottle. Is the radiator leaking?. The test codes were probably triggered when u were doing the compression test. Is the engine running now?

10

Head gasket is leaking coolant causing the plugs to fail , this explanation is percisely what the car is going I’m going to log back in later to the car clear everything out and see what comes back

10

This examples wear the coolant is going every few days we have to add a little , it’s bean like this for probably 4-5 months , but I’ll clear the codes out give it a couple days and check again, and to answer your question it runs but it’s still doing the same thing

34,745

If coolant is leaking into a cylinder, it'll get to the point it's not going to run anymore. Try the stop leak, u might get a few more miles out if it but I think it's time to retire it or rebuild the engine. Good luck!
