best subaru for snow driving is it outback/forestor

That is a matter of your needs and driving style. I drive a 2015 Forester and it does pretty good in the snow. Check the specs but I think both cars have the same ground clearance. One key to snow driving is using the correct tires. Dedicated snow tires are the best if you live where it is snowy all winter long.

Both Subies have the same AWD system, so as F_O_R said, it's important to run dedicated snow tires if you're habitually driving in snow conditions.

The Subaru Outback is better than the Subaru Forester for snow driving since it has higher- than-average ground clearance. If you are around Covington, LA visit us at Subaru Dealership in Covington, LA. https://www.baldwinsubaru.com/
