Wiring problem?

Asked by AshlyMarton89 Mar 10, 2015 at 01:41 PM about the 1997 Ford Expedition 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay so i have a wiring problem i think. My power side mirrors stopped working & back
windshield wipers also went out, today i checked the fuses & replaced them even though
they were still good. I replaced the rear wiper fuse in both boxes. The problem is still
there and i could care less about the side mirrors but my rear wipers i use all the time.
Please help.

Turn on your rear wiper. Go to the rear of the vehicle, grab the wiper blade and wiggle it back and forth. If the wiper begins to move, you will have to replace the motor. The plastic gears get worn, and after awhile the motor needs replacing. It's just a really bad design.
