1997 Ford Expedition will not disengage

Asked by Kv6961 Jan 11, 2016 at 11:21 AM about the 1997 Ford Expedition 4 Dr Eddie Bauer 4WD SUV

I have replaced the vacuum lines from the
solenoid to the front axle it will engage the
front axle but doesn't show a light on the
dash only awd. It will not disengage the pin
slides very little when disengaging. And I'm
only getting a click out of one of the
solenoids

I have since replaced the solenoid that wasn't clicking still the same issue

I now have the front diff engaging and disengaging after replacing all of the vacuum lines. But now I can't get the 4x4 light to come on any help to what to do next would be appreciated thanks
