seem to have an intermittent battery drain on my mini cooper hatch 2005, battery is fine and alternator, anybody know what could not be switching off please

a bad or failing power relay for the ecm will have these systems,1)drain your battery 2),no power when key is on3),engine will not start,hope this helps.
