where is oil pressure sensor

I bought a 1991 Mercury Capri and the sensor does not work.   Can you tell
me where to locate it so I can put a new one in?

It is above and to the left of the oil filter . Tough to get to . if you remove oil filter and have small hands you might be able to get it . A little higher and to the left is the knock sensor .Don't remove it .

correction to above answer.. the knock sensor is to the right of the oil pressure sensor . Sorry

can not find a used or new 1993 mer capri 1.6 oil pressure sensor, old one was leaking and not working , took it out put in a a plug, engine got 92k and runs like new, { is it ok to drive it this way???

Probably, if the oil pressure has been good in the past and you check the oil level once a month. Although when you get over 200,000 miles you will need to go to a heavier oil like 20-50 to keep oil pressure up . Why not add a gauge . There is a place in Pa. [ Middle county Mustangs ] that has lots of capri parts .
