How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? If your check engine lamp works, you might be able to get some codes by cycling the ignition switch, on--off, on--off, on, then the mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. Some dodge makes and models, that will work for checking codes. Just my opinion.

Clean the fuel system, remove intake manifold and clean the gunk off it use injector or carb cleaner to keep it clen.
