1998 Mercury Sable that won’t stay running

Asked by Anthony Mar 28, 2020 at 06:52 PM about the 1998 Mercury Sable GS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Mercury Sable that ran perfectly
when it was parked roughly 2 years ago but it
wouldn’t start so I replaced the fuel pump
(drained old gas cleaned out the tank and put
high grade gas back in it) also replaced fuel
filter and fuel relay switch got it to start but
dies after a couple seconds so I pulled the
fuel injectors cleaned them and tested to
make sure they all work and they are fine the
fuel pressure is what it’s supposed to be does
anybody have a solution or ideas? Thanks in
advance

Are all the vacuum hoses connected to the upper intake? any leaks? There is the one off the back that has to be attached or the car will stall.
