2006 Sonata 3.3 185,000 miles no check
engine light but recently car has been shaking
and jerks violently and shuts off when I brake
and at complete stop at stop sign, traffic , etc.

You may just need a tune up. I'd let a reputable shop diagnose it and go from there. If they give you an estimate for a ton of money, time to trade it in! Hope that helps! Jim

Changed plugs (Bosch Platinum) and wires when I replaced valve cover gaskets on 5/2019. I was recently told to try changing throttle body... trading in sounds better by the moment

Diagnostics came back from shop after two days. Was told that the transmission is going bad.
