I recently noticed car getting louder

Asked by Guru9TPTBN Mar 29, 2021 at 12:23 PM about the 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7L GL FWD

drove here from California and like I said the
car was absolutely quiet and then more than
halfway it started sounding like a diesel and
now it drove here no problem but a block
away from this residence in Missouri it made
a noise like a pop and it cut off and hasn't
started since when I try to start it it's a real
quick crank but it doesn't start.

Have the car towed to a garage, I suspect your timing belt broke or something internal the other engine.
