Jerking when Slowing Down to 40 MPH

Asked by Hannah Mar 27, 2023 at 11:35 PM about the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited FWD with Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car jerks only when slowing down from any
speed and when it gets to 40 mph exactly. I’m
thinking maybe it shifting gears is the cause? or
transmission?

Take it to a good transmission shop and get it checked before it leaves you walking. If they give you bad news you should consider getting a vehicle that’s not on the do not buy list.
