2019 Kia Sorento indicator says driver door is open, not

The switch is part of the door latch inside the door. Now it could be just dirty and need cleaned and lubed but usually they need replacing when this happens.

The car's three years old and likely under warranty. If so, have KIA fix it. If you try to fix this and either can't or you mess up something else. you'll be giving KIA an excuse to deny coverage for this.... You could do as GA implies. Get a spray contact cleaner or WD40, and spray into the latch and see if that frees it up. If it doesn't, you haven't done anything that KIA can complain about.
