Not even close. One's a automatic transmission flywheel, the other a manual transmission flywheel, you need a manual one to accept the clutch.

Sorry I have a 98 ford ranger and I put an 96 4.0 in it.the auto trans went out so I got a 5spd from a 99.I bought a manual fly wheel for the 96 motor and installed the 99 trans but it seem like the starter is hiring the flywheel.so I was wondering if they use different diameter flywheels

I can only move it out more from the face of the fly wheel I can't move I down like for a bigger die flywheel.it looks like it is hitting the face of the flywheel that's why I was wondering if they made different diameters from 96 to 99
