Do I need to change my brake fluid?

My 2018 Accord Sport, with 24,000 miles on it, put
up maintenance code 7 saying that the brake fluid
needs to be changed. That seems very early for
changing brake fluid, I don't think I ever changed it
on my 2006 Accord. Do I really need to pay all that
money to have my brake fluid flushed?

Brake fluid is recommend to be changed every two years by most manufacturers today. Have a local shop do it for you. Should be around $100.

I have the brake fluid changed at every brake pad/shoe replacement. That's it. More frequently is just a money grab, in my opinion. Hope that helps! Jim

It certainly will not hurt to change the fluid but for me personally I would put it off because I live in a dry climate which means I have no problems with the brake fluid absorbing moisture.
