Question type: General

My 2018 HONDA CR-V LX, will make a clunking noise one time only when I first
start it up, then turning the steering wheel in any directions. I jacked up the front
(both wheels) and it wont do it. The wheels have to be on the ground for
resistance. Car has 27,000 miles and out of warranty. If I let it sit for about 10
minutes it will do it again, but not as loud as if it was overnight. I am not a hard
driver.

After looking at it really closely, it turned out the the rubber seat that you cannot visible see at the top of the strut had crumbled allowing the strut to move. The drivers side was worse then the passenger side. 28,000 miles garage kept out of warranty by 4 months. Had it fixed by a trusted local mechanic. Had to replace all the rubber parts . The parts were cheap but the labor and alignment came to a total of $580. Then I notice the AC was not working right either which they (Honda) worked on in the late 19's and wouldn't go lower then 75°. Bought a refill can and cable $150. Yes $150, it has the new refrigerant 1234yf. Your going to love this, that stuff is highly explosive! It took the 14 ounce can and the temp went down to 58°. The all mighty radio fiasco which there is tread on the forum. They replaced the radio, it still acted up, then they set the touch screen to low and said that was the problems. Well if it was then the need to rethink the situation (yes I keep my screen impeccably clean). It acted up again and I took a video of it and yep you guess it, out of warranty. So After I got the front end fixed and the AC working for now, I traded it in on a Nissan Rogue. I should've never ;eft Nissan. As of now, I will be removing myself from this forum. Feel free to copy and print this out. Good luck on there lies and deceptions.

I am experiencing the same issue with my 2022 Honda CRV 2WD, with approximately the same mileage.
