I recently had my 1998 Mazda 626 V6 CV axles replaced and within one week the transmission completely went out. Could improper installation of the CV axles have caused the transmission problems?

not really only one way they will go,check and see if trans,fluid was replaced you lose some when pulling axles.if not full on dipstick,check hot.if not full somewone goofed and they are the responsable party,if hassle hire lawyer.
