I need to have my ac compressor  rebuilt.  Can I still drive
the car if it's  removed to be rebuilt?  Will damage  the
vehicle?

It wont hurt anything, however you still have to run your serpentine belt to run all the other pulleys on the car. sometimes you can get a belt that will work for this application. if not, you will have to wait until it is repaired
