Driver side door lock fuse location

Asked by Lacy Dec 11, 2018 at 10:13 AM about the 1998 Ford Explorer 2 Dr Sport 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I bought my 98 Ford explorer sport the
unlock button on the driver side door wouldn't
unlock any of the doors. Recently I entered in my
keyless code and unlocked the door but soon after
I discovered I couldn't lock it back with the button
and the keyless code no longer works. It still has
power because the interior lights come on when I
press the keypad but it doesn't unlock the door. So
now I can only unlock or lock my driver side door
with the key. The button still locks the passenger
side and trunk, just not the driver side door. Where
is the fuse located so I can see if it's blown before
trying to do anything more extensive to fix. Thanks
in advance

If you have the owners manual, the fuse chart should be in the back. If not, manuals can be viewed on line. Can you lock the drivers side door from the master control on the driver's side?
