Adding a fourth row
Has anyone added a fourth row seat to a Yukon xl
in the 2015-2018 model? We are wanting to do it for
occasional family visits but are unsure how to make
it happen since the seatbelts are not installed on
the seats in this year.
It can be done but without seat belts it is dangerous. Put your crazy uncle Bob in the back seat ;)
Not looking to install WITHOUT seat belts... I am asking to find out if anyone has any suggestions on how they might have either installed seat belts in the forth row OR were able to use an older third row model that fit in the 2015-2018 cargo space.
Get the third row seat from a 2014 Tahoe. That's the last year Chevy integrated seat belts in the seat.

Yeah, we got a 2015 Nissan NV Passenger Van. And we LOVE it! There were too many variables w adding a fourth seat.
Yes. We did. I bought a 2014 third row off eBay and my brother in law installed brackets for us also bought on eBay. It was relatively easy and it is a dream for our Yukon xl! We used YouTube video tutorials. I love the versatility of my car now.

Any chance you could show me exactly what you ordered from eBay? Wanting to make sure it will fit..
Here are the brackets and the seats I ordered. We drive a 2018 Yukon XL Denali and width wise they fit just fine. It was not easy to nail down the dimensions via online research but the seller finally sent them to me and we ordered in faith. Best decision we ever made. I love our upgrade.

So the Forth Row Seat Is Only A Two Seater Any Chance Would A Three Seater Fit??
Our had three seatbelts. Granted it is a small person three person row but there are three seatbelts. We put 3 kids 8-10 there or two booster seat kids. Usually have no problems there.

So how did your brother in law install the brackets? Obviously they wouldn't match up with any predrilled holes. Any info you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated. Photos would be amazing! Go to youTube and search “installing fourth row seats into Yukon”. I can’t link it for some reason. The Escalade video is the best on how to install but there are several good ones on there. That is how we did it. Good luck. It is so nice to have this option.
Wow, great thread. Thanks for all of the helpful info. I'm planning to have our body shop install the brackets in our 2015 Yukon xl and am looking for 2010-2014 third row seats in our color. How is the front to back fit on the seats you installed? Are you able to fold the 4th row seats down or flip them forward? I noticed that was possible on the YouTube video you referenced, but that was for a 2014 model. How's it working for yours?
