There are plenty of customers upset with how thin the paint is on the hoods and other panels of the Crosstrek's ,especially the Sunshine Orange color. Try and work out something with your dealer. I read they are repainting the hoods.

2019 crosstrek....have had the car for 3 months and paint chipping off back bumper. subaru israel says that they are aware of the problem and sent me to the garage to have it fixed. there i was told that it was my problem and i that the chips are from my doing shopping and the cart hitting the bumper! i've had plenty of cars and have done plenty of shopping and never had this happen. will continue to fight them and never again buy subaru.

Blame the EPA for forcing super thin paint that does not adhere well. Eventually cars will come with water color paint.

louhill31. The first photo is damage from something hitting your car not necessarily a paint fault. The second may be sand pits.

My Cool Grey Khaki 2019 Crosstrek not only chips easily, but, whenever I apply a soft moist paper towel or cotton cloth to a rain spot, the paint coms off on the cloth! Did Subaru neglect to either seal the paint or use some sort of paint that is not stable?
