Over heating on Lincoln navigator

Asked by REEK55 Jun 21, 2018 at 02:43 AM about the 2001 Lincoln Navigator 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed my spark plugs and ignition coils on left
side,  and put new thermostat,  and thought it
would fix the issue of running hot and it did not I
can't get on free way at all with out pulling off every
exit because the car is running hot.  I just put with
in two days two bottles of antifreeze,  50/50 and
it's gone out the tank,  I looked in the tank and it
was empty,  I'm so confused were is all the coolant
going,  I have no leaks no were I check all time so
what should I do I'm  confused.

do a compression test that will tell you if the head gasket is blown

If it is head gasket how much is a job for that repair is it more then the car

what's the condition of the car ? is ti rusted out underneath , might be time to go with something else at 17 years old
