I have a 2001 Lincoln Continental 4.6 V8 and was told that 2 of the 8 coil packs are not working properly, and that i need to replace all 8 coil packs is this true or do i need to only replace to 2 that are now working.

You only need to replace the ones that are bad, but it makes sense to replace all of them at the same time...

If you can afford to replace all of them of course replace them if not just replace the ones that are bad.

Replace them all as the rest will soon cause problems. Make sure you only use the Ford Motorcraft units as there are sometimes problems with the coils you get from the aftermarket.
