2003 Lincoln Ls no start

Hi I'm new to the group I have a 2003 Lincoln LS
that I have just bought it has the 3.9 V8 the car
cranks good and has good power but will only try
to start when I have the gas pedal to the floor it will
start for a split second and then die each time I try
it it does the same thing curious of opinions

Clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner and replace fuel filter also replace air filter if necessary.
