Car won't start. Just clicks, doesn't turn over, dash lights are on but doesn't start

first you have to see what kind of power you have from the battery it might be enought to turn on the lights but not enough to start it. when you go to turn it over do the lights on the dash go dim or stay lit. I'm thinking you just need a new starter.

Bad battery, or need to clean up battery terminals.
