2018 Toyota Camry SE sometimes won't start

Ok, did you show the video to the two dealership? By chance did you check to see if there's any open recalls? When did you purchase it? You could always contact the manufacturer and see what can be done. Hard to say since the car is so new.....

Thanks... Yes, I showed the video to both Dealer Repairs. Milton Martin Toyota Service gets my kudos. They ran a diagnostic (the original Dealer said they did it too). The diagnostic showed a key-fob error. One of my key-fobs would open the doors and trunk, but if I tried to start the car it would turn-turn-turn, never start. If I used the other key-fob to start the car --OR-- had the other key-fob inside the car, it would start fine. Issue is a mal- programmed key-fob. Technician duplicated issue and then reprogrammed the key-fob and issue now FIXED. File this one in the "what-the-hey" folder. Now double upset at my original purchase dealer service shop for telling me the same untruth twice and NOT checking... if they had only just hooked up the scan on the car computer......

I have the exact same issue with my 2017 Camry XLE - 4 Cilinder, but unfortunately the issue continues occasionally. Dealership has replaced car battery, also key battery has been replaced and the issue will happen next time the car is exposed to the sun for several hours. I am with you - really frustrating due to this brand and this car are famous for its reliability, this is not the case....,

I'm having same issue recently with my 2016 Camry. Randomly after driving awhile t wouldn't start. It does turn, battery seems fine, but wouldn't crank up. Both times though, when we tried to jump, it did start back up. Now, I know it's not battery because the second time it did that, the man who tried to jump it put the cable on the opposite sides, so it melted the cable completely. But after that, it started. I can also say that both the times it did that the weather was hot and humid.(90's)

Hello have a 2018 Toyota Camry LE & I am also having the same type of issues, just about 10 minutes ago I’ve noticed my A/C compressor pulley happens to be spinning like as if i were to have my car’s a/c on but it is not. I am getting ready to go in to work so i cant check it out today but tomorrow morning ill get on it and check to see if that has anything to do with my car having a dead battery.

Hello , same problems . 2017 toyota camry SE , 9600 miles won't start , the engine crank good , battery and starter look good , even jump cable battery engine till no start , check everything look ok , all fuses ok , observer all electrical wire look ok , try the other key fob till no start . It happen when the car park on my drive way two weeks . will tow the the to dealer tomorrow . Any body have ideal , please help . Thanks

My original issue got resolved. As it turns out, one of the key fobs was not fully programmed or somehow got corrupted. My ignition requires the physical key to start. If I had only the ‘bad’ key fob with me, then the car would turn but not crank. If I was using the ‘bad’ key fob, but had the other key fob with me in the car, then it would start. Of course, if I used the good key fob alone, then all was good. The service technician found this and was able to reproduce the problem on demand. He told me he reprogrammed the ‘bad’ key fob. Since then all has been good. The service technician stated he never saw a key fob go bad like this. I need to state that the ‘bad’ key fob, during this time, could lock/unlock the doors and trunk without a problem and set of the alarm.

Thanks next I towed the car to dealer and they figured out the problems : security system fail , they will order part and fix for a couple day with no charge till under factory warranty . Oh my God . Is your car push button start? Or is it a turn key? I have 2018 Camry and lately it's been unable to start. Took it too the dealer and they say it's the terminal? 13K miles.
