2003 kia spectra cuts off after only few miles of driving

the check engine light and oil lights come on but ive cheched the oil and replaced the filter as well as the fuel filter and have no idea what the issue is but before it dies on me the rpms drop and become eratic for a few seconds and finally just cuts off any help would be awesome
