I have a 2004 dodge ram 3500 slt 4wd crew cab cummins and it wont ever start unless you spray some starting fluid into the intake how do i fix this

There could be a lot of causes for this problem. Is the check engine light on? Post the codes and we can try to find the problem.

The check engine light is not on but i beleive the fuel is not pumping fast enough and not able to fire properly and its been like this for at least five years
