Running hot overheating

I have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 2.3 l 6
cylinder running hot replaced water pump replaced
thermostat replaced serpentine belt still running
hot it has two fans could it be that both ends or
bad the main fan works but the other one is not
working could that make it start running hot

Most probably, the secondary fan will come on when the temperature reaches the set limit of degrees in the system and the sensor sends a signal to the fan to start operating. From personal experience, in cases like this, I have changed the sensors but ended up having to replace the fans. I would say that if one fan is not working, the other one will probably stop running as well, so change them now; "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of sorrow".

When you turn on your A.C both fans should automatically kick on letting you know they are working if they work most likely the coolent temperature sensor is bad.
