Can i make my 2017 Subaru Impreza base modle faster?

Hello i just finaced a 2017 subaru impreza base model, i couldnt afford a wrx at this time but was in need of a new car and was after the impresa line its what I really wanted. But is there any ways to make it a tad faster even tho it dont have a turbo or anything? Like I know I can upgrade and get a injen intake and ialready straight piped my eghast from the cat back even tho It don't make a huge difference. But is there any other ways I can tweak or add I'm not trying to have it like a race car just want some better pick up in it if possible thanks!

Even with all the power in the world if your shoes are walking shoes or boots, running will be limited. I suggest the very best highest speed rated competition tires you can afford and set of light weight aluminum racing rims. Many a people over look the increase in speed that a set of competition racing tires play, When the Y-speed rating indicated in a service description is enclosed in parentheses, the top speed of the tire has been tested in excess of 186 mph, (Y)=186mph+ or W=to 168 or Y= to 186. Your cars computer may have it governed but like I said above even if your cars top speed is lower it does not mater it will get there faster and stay there longer on a the best you can buy. You will need to get it off the govner to get actual speed increase more that top speed. But tires is the fastest way to get faster, If I had the choice in buying a header for 10hp or a set of comp tires I choice comp tires.

"Faster" tires will NOT increase vehicle acceleration! The '17+ Imp is indeed a bit torquier than its predecessor, but adding stiffer sidewalled rubber cannot pysically improve acceleration...and in this case won't increase top speed either. Sir Isaac Newton proved this many years ago. That said, the BASIC (stripper) Imp is shoed with cheap rubber on horrible steel rims, so enginecreator is correct that better alloys on stiffer tires WILL greatly improve handling, but only possibly very slightly be faster on wide-open throttle IF the total wheel/tire mass is less than OE. Don't get crazy. 17" lightweight alloys with V- rated tires are your best bet. Check TireRack et al for +1 options. Just don't expect faster ETs...especially if you increase rolling radii; as well, the Imp is low enough that you don't want to decrease diameter more than about a half inch. TR has nice deals on their "Sport" line of wheels, and great deals on very lightweight Koseis.
very good answers , but both of You concentrate on wheels and tires instead engine and exhaust .
Tires and suspension are all you can really do with a car that is not a candidate for engine building. Of course a tin can exhaust tip and a 3 foot tall spoiler are the real secret to go fast. Just ask anyone ;)

Yup; don't bother with a CAI either, as you'll be very disappointed. Intake "rush" noise may give you a nice placebo effect if you conflate sound with speed or acceleration. Save your money. Injens are nice, but even on a big G37xS, for example, there was no measurable increase in low end torque. Pretty jewelry, though....
