Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I NEED HELP! Me car idle is bouncing at idle around 500 to
1000 rpms. And even worse, when I am coming to a stop
my voltage drops from 14.2 to 12.0 and then goes all over
the place when at full stop! It even cut out on me several
times.  Can this be a vacuum leak, brake boost, idle air
controller,  I am lost and stuck, if anyone can help with this
I would be very grateful,  thanks guys!

Sounds like you need a new alternator , don't buy cheap especially if the one it has a mitzubishi that the dealer will take for a core , A cheap one from auto zoo or nipa will only disappoint .

Sry I didn't include this in first post, battery is red cab optima and at 96%, both battery and alternator were tested and no issues found, but does that mean the alternator isn't about to die, initial voltage car off with key in is 12.3, battery cables have been replaced, while driving voltage is at 13.8 to 14.4, lost of power only happens when coming to a stop
