Is the check engine light on? Did you check for any stored computer codes even if the light is not on? There is a service bulletin on this engine which causes all kinds of running and drive-ability problems, but does not always trip the light or a code. If you have the car since new, you should know if this was fixed or not. Anyway, under the EGR valve is a port and an intricate air passage. This becomes clogged with carbon build up. There is a repair kit that you can get on e-bay or at most parts store or at any Honda dealer. It contains a new EGR valve, gasket and a steel sleeve. You must remove the intake plenum to do the upgrade. http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/attachment.php? s=b1e6b609702bec53a4bbe12a8dacd5c9&attachmentid=10340&d=11 99499376
