Can someone please tell me whats wrong with my 1999 Ford Explorer?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Today i was driving my 1999 ford explorer XLT RWD home from school when
it just slowly stalled. I tried pumping the gas but with no luck. I then tried
restarting it and it just wouldnt start. it turned over and started once after i
gave it a little gas before turning the key but it was running verryyyy rough
and the rpms didnt get above 1000, shortly after it just stalled again and has
not started back up. it's been having problems lately like when i would start it
i would have to pump the gas once and it would idle but if i didnt pump the
gas at least once it would stall. it has 77k miles on it, there was also a time
when my brother had it that he drove it 6000 miles over his next oil change
so i think that might be a contributing factor but ever since ive had it the oil
has been changed regularly. I also just put gas in it a couple days ago so it
definitely wasnt out of gas. Any sort of reply is greatly appreciated. thanks.

sounds like the engine is not getting fuel. trace it back from there. could be a clogged fuel line, fuel filter or worse. start here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DRujnGykKw

test for fuel pressure before replacing parts , test for power and ground at the fuel pump , you should hear the pump come on and prime the system when you hit the key
