My 2001 Jeep 4.0L. Has a dead skip on one cylendar. Fire is going to plug but not firing through plug.what's wrong?

did you have the plug grounded when you were looking at it to see no fire through it. If you hold it up in the air to look at it there will be no spark because there is no ground.
