2003 Jeep Liberty crankshaft removal

Can I remove the crankshaft on a 2003 jeep liberty limited edition without
detaching or removing the transmission?

You don't have to remove the transmission but you'll have to remove the bolts that attaches the flywheel to the to the transmission torque converter and shift engine forward enough to clear transmission housing. Or just pull out the engine.

No, the transmission has to be detached and the engine moved forward as posted above.

The front axle might be in the way of dropping the oil pan first. Not sure...never did one without pulling the engine.
