Engine

Asked by Teensmom Jun 22, 2017 at 01:42 PM about the 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Looking at a liberty for my daughter.
Somebody else was interested in it, but
says the engine is blown. My husband
says the motor looks clean, fluids look
good. The guy that owns it has lost the
key. So we can't start it. What do I look for
to know if it is I fact blown?

1 Answer

If you could turn the engine over with the starter a compression test would tell you a good bit.
