250K on a Jeep means your about due for something major to let loose. Engine, tranny, differentials, etc. If your still thinking about a purchase then take it to a shop that does used car checks ans see what they find and go from there.

Ok thanks

I have a 2004 Liberty and I can tell you it was a very good year for them. Jeeps have good years and bad but Consumer reports rated that as a dependable year. Mine is stilll going strong.Get.yourself.a code reader as they do have engine lights come on but often it is just a blip, such.as a misread on an O2 sensor or commonly the evap system has a momentary glitch. Very often you can clear it and it doesnt repeat.

Luv my 2005 Jeep Liberty it has 200,000mi...runs great! very fun to drive!

My 04 liberty had over 250,000 loved it till I let it run hot just DON’T DO and you will be good

I have an 06, 175,000 miles I am hoping that I can get it to go 300,000. I Luv my liberty wouldn't trade it for the world. Only problem I have is six cylinder misfire, but I believe its gapping issue with the spark plugs, when the car gets too hot the Gap open. I would recommend this car to anybody who wants one, I would stay away from high-mileage ones because they may have over heated multiple times.
