Hitting a pothole at 50MPH would shake anyone out of their seat! Take it to an alignment shop and have them look over the sway bar and linkages. If you heard a any metal on metal clank you may have a busted sway bar bushing. If no noise, then just check sway links. They can also check over control arm bushings. It's hard for a novice to look at a bushing and see if it's bad or not.
