why will my 2006 jeep liberty limite not crank???

pulled into my local store car was running fine allday???? came bk out tried 2 crank it run put it in gear an it jerked about 4 times moved about 2 ft then died??? CKED GAS RAIL  GAS WAS FINE CKED TACH WHILE TRYING 2 CRANK AN NEEDLE WAS MOVING SO I THINK CRANK SENSOR IS OK?? STILL WONT CRANK ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Is the theft light flashing? Battery terminals loose or corroded. or bad battery.
