Pine tar removal gone wrong..

I had some pine tar spots on my hood of the car.
Googled how to remove them. Google told me nail
polish remover. Google didn’t tel me to wash off the
acetone right away. So now I tried scrubbing it off
with a hard bristle brush(very bad idea). Now I have
scratch/scuff marks on the hood and acetone
streak marks. What do I do next!?

You probably need to repaint the car. Have a car detailer look at it. Maybe they can polish it out. Next time use something like Meguiar's cleaner wax or a product made specifically for road tar and pine pitch on car paint. I am surprised you did not damage it more than you did.
