2017 Honda civic
I woke up to find all my windows down on
my new 2017 Honda Civic. Heavy rain
overnight and car interior totally soaked !
My windows were all up when I locked my
vehicle the night before without a doubt.
Honda needs to be responsible for this
defect. Why is this happening ?
Someone must have hit and or activated the key fob. If you check your manual, you push and hold down one of the buttons on the fob to activate the auto global down function. All windows and sunroof open. Was the fob in your pocket and or purse?
Nope, I locked the doors by pressing the fob once and once only. I walked away to wake up to my windows completely down after a night of heavy rain. ?
You will have a hard time trying to get honda to replace / fix this for you. They will argue its your fault / you left your windows down. Something caused the windows to go down and its very well possible the fob is defecting / sent a signal to roll windows down (IF the fob is capable of doing this). I'd write down the date / take pictures, and also record any future times this happens. Then you will have something solid to present to the dealer.
