Sprinkling dots from the engine

Asked by Guru9B3YJ4 Jul 06, 2021 at 07:18 AM about the 2017 MINI Cooper 2-Door Hatchback FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have Mini One D 2017. It has been regularly serviced (the last service was
made a month ago). I haven´t noticed anything wrong with the car except for
these black dots that seem to be sprinkling somewhere from the engine. Did
anyone have a similar issue and can anyone tell me what this seems to be and
is it a real issue that is to be taken care of ASAP? thank you

1 Answer

Possibly spraying oil from something. The photo does not help but I would check items driven by the serpentine belt.
