My 2017 Chevy Suburban

Asked by GuruD5346N Feb 23, 2024 at 03:00 PM about the 2017 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Premier 4WD

Question type: General

My 2017 Chevy Suburban shut off while driving and wouldn't start. After
wiggling the battery cable, that wasn't loose. It restarted, but CAL is displaying
in the Check Engine Light area

When the compass display shows CAL, drive the vehicle for a short distance in an open area where it can receive a GPS signal. The compass system will automatically determine when a GPS signal is restored and provide a heading again..... f it does not go into compass mode and the CAL does not go away then there is a fault with the compass or GPS antenna. In this case, fault codes have to be read to see what codes are set..... If you open your owners manual, you can find this explained.
